Ace Waste's Chesterfield Facility
Chesterfield site (enlarge)We are constructing and preparing to operate an indoor materials recovery facility at The Sustainability Park in Chester, Virginia. The company will operate the Chesterfield facility under the name Ace Recycling.
Key information about the Chesterfield Facility
- Expected to create approximately 30 new jobs with an investment of over $6MM.
- Existing manufacturing buildings totaling 69,000 SF are being modified for the new use to achieve a gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council.
- Will provide construction & demolition debris (C&D) recycling to the region, targeting local sources of C&D.
- Will receive mixed construction and demolition debris and then process the material, much of which can be easily reused and recycled. The most common materials include cardboard and paper, carpet, concrete, dirt, metal, plastics, wallboard and wood.
- Designed to process 75 tons of construction and demolition debris per hour.
- All activities will be conducted indoors, including the receipt of waste, sorting and separating materials, secondary processing, and loading of outbound trucks.
